Each of us faces death as uniquely as we live our life. Experience tells us that most of us hope that when death comes to us or to someone close to us, it will be peaceful and free of pain. We hope to face death surrounded by those we love, cared for, feeling safe and comfortable. Many people believe hospice is about a building, when in fact it is a philosophy of care.
